Friday Night Joint Classes:

Doors Open at 5:30 for registration and a pre-event time of worship

7:00pm – 8:00: Worship Leaders are from Venus; Techs are from Mars

Sound familiar. It’s a common stereotype and we will be discussing why we need both types on our team to function at the highest level. Although some of us are more creative and some more analytical, both types are necessary to achieve excellence. We’ll look at some popular iconic examples of dynamic duos that will illustrate the power of relationships that depend on one another. It’s a lot of fun and it’s for the worship leader and the tech. We’ll make fun of both of you.

8:00pm – 9:00: Mics and Monitors for Vocalists

Join husband and wife team Doug and Sheri Gould as they share some great practical tips for fixing up the sound issues in your church. With both the platform and the sound tech side of things represented, there will be great tips that you can apply even from either side of the sound board!

11:30 – 1:00 Lunch Break
There are not many local places to eat in Copenhagen so we recommend either bringing a lunch with you or taking advantage of the Panera Bread Catered Lunch. We will be placing the catered lunch order on the 12th so please have your order in before then…:0)

1:00 – 2:00 – Modern Audio Solutions
How do our modern digital mixers differ from their older analog ancestors? What are some of the things that help volunteer audio techs do their job with less frustration? Why are people  intimidated by them? What is networked audio?  This workshop will help you to see the ins and outs and make you more aware of the many benefits of many advantages of modern mixers and their accessories that make for complete solutions.

2:15 – 3:00 – Line Check and Soundcheck with the Band

To help ensure that the worship service will be less prone to failure we should check all the lines and devices/instruments to make sure they are sounding as good as they can be. This should be done before every soundcheck which is the process to optimize the levels of each microphone and instrument. Without the right right gain structure you have little chance of achieving a good mix.
